BAM! Launch!


Ready, Set, Launch!

WayBlaze is a mix between an RTS and action RPG about heroes fighting back the darkness. The final release will be on Android and iOS, but I've provided a WebGL build for convenience for now.

There's a ton in the works, including at least 3 heroes and tons of maps and enemy types! Heroes will be customizable with special abilities, each with advantages and trade-offs to fit your play style. More on that as the content is released!

Technically the game was launched yesterday, and today there's already a new content update! Introducing the Wraith


It won't do much to try to harm you directly, but it'll float around and summon enemy units. Better find a way to take care of it or its summons will whittle you down in no time. Find it as the boss for the demo uploaded above!


As for the units already present, let's give them an introduction as well, starting with the Skeleton

It's pretty simple, slowly following and slamming the heroes with melee attacks. Light burns and slows it, however, so pick your fights there! Beware of leaving light sources alone, however, as the Skeleton will knock them out if given the chance.

After that, we have our heroes, like the Swordsman and the Lightbearer

The Swordsman is a melee fighter, adept at dispatching foes and dodging. While it's a skill he'll later learn in the finished game, right now he's already got his dash ability unlocked. Each command you give him will make him perform a quick dash to get in and out in the blink of an eye.

The Lightbearer (please excuse the placeholder art!) is the only one capable of carrying and spreading the great flame that fights off the darkness. He's defenseless on his own, but the light he carries as he moves provides benefits to his teammates and inflicts powerful debuffs to enemies. With his great flame he can ignite other light sources to claim more territory from the darkness.
